You’ll hear several terms as your project moves from installation to operation.
Commissioning means testing and configuring your installed equipment to make sure the system is ready to operate correctly.
Permission to Operate (PTO) is authorization from your utility, where required, allowing your system to operate while connected to the electrical grid.
Placed in Service (PIS) is Daylight’s milestone indicating that your system has completed the applicable requirements necessary to be considered operational and in service.
These milestones do not necessarily happen on the same day.
Daylight coordinates the applicable post-installation process and will notify you when your system has been Placed in Service.
