A Virtual Power Plant, or VPP, is a network of distributed energy resources—such as home batteries—that can be coordinated to operate together.
Instead of relying only on a single large power plant, a VPP can combine energy stored across many individual batteries and make that capacity available to support the electrical grid.
Daylight’s network of home batteries can operate in this way.
How does my Daylight battery participate?
Daylight manages participating Daylight-owned batteries across its distributed energy network.
When grid support is needed, eligible batteries can be coordinated to provide energy or other grid services.
You do not need to manually operate the battery for it to participate. Daylight controls battery operation as part of the Daylight-owned system.
