It’s normal for a solar system design to change after the site survey.
The system presented when you initially sign your Daylight Energy Subscription PPA is based on the best information available at that time.
The site survey gives our engineering team actual measurements and information about your roof, electrical system, shading, equipment locations, structural conditions, and other factors. We use that information to create the system that can actually be installed on your home.
Your final design may include changes to:
Number or placement of solar panels
System size
Equipment
Forecasted Production
Battery or electrical equipment location
Monthly payment
A change does not necessarily mean your system became less effective. For example, a final design may achieve similar or better Forecasted Production using fewer panels because of equipment selection, panel placement, or updated engineering information.
Why do I receive updated system documents?
Your final system documents update the applicable specifications and performance information in your PPA so they accurately reflect the system that will actually be installed—or, where applicable, the system as built on your home.
This is important because your Forecasted Production, Production Guarantee, equipment information, warranty documentation, and other system details need to correspond to the actual system.
These updated exhibits reflect your final system; they do not represent a separate solar project.
