Before your Daylight Energy Subscription PPA is finalized, Daylight models the amount of electricity your solar system is expected to produce.
This is your Forecasted Production.
Your production forecast considers factors including:
System size and panel specifications
Roof orientation and panel placement
Shading
Local solar resources and weather patterns
Expected equipment performance over time
Your Forecasted Production is included in your PPA and is used to establish the economics of your PPA and your monthly payment.
Does my system need to produce the same amount every month?
No.
Forecasted Production is a long-term energy forecast. It does not mean your system will produce the same amount of electricity every day or every month.
Actual Production naturally changes based on season, daylight hours, cloud cover, rain, snow, temperature, shading, and other environmental conditions.
For example, a sunny summer month may produce considerably more electricity than a winter month.
Because of these normal variations, looking at a few days or even a single month isn’t necessarily a good way to determine whether your system is performing correctly.
That’s also why Daylight evaluates its Production Guarantee over a longer period.
