If Daylight gets to use the battery, does that mean I get the benefit of backup power?

Updated over a month ago

Yes. Daylight only uses the battery approximately 10% of the time, supporting the power grid during periods of significant strain. You will receive notifications through the Daylight App when your battery will be used for grid services.

You benefit from the battery's stored energy at all other times.

We’ll also take a best efforts approach to ensure that your battery is fully charged and available if there is a National Weather Service storm alert.

You’re protected from storms and outages, and we use your battery to support the grid. It’s a win-win.
