The cost of a rooftop solar system varies depending on factors such as the size of the system, location, available incentives, and the type of panels used. Generally, the prices have become more affordable over the years due to technological advancements and government incentives.

The federal government offers a federal tax credit for 30% of the cost of your system and installation. That's a 30% discount off the bat.

Additionally, Daylight is the only platform that offers you cashback on all energy upgrades, often decreasing the cost by an additional 10%.

Solar systems are often quoted as a $/watt cost. If a system costs $2.85 / watt, and you need a 6 kW system, the total cost would be $17,100. After the 30% tax credit, the total cost to you would be $11,970.

However, you do not need to pay all of this out of pocket! There are many financing options available for solar, typically with $0 down. You'll pay your solar note each month, just like you pay your utility bill now - but it's often much cheaper than your utility cost.
